Such cables are also used by the metre in house building and network technology, for example by electricians and system houses. There they can be cut to size and prepared for installation. Raw cables are unassembled cables that have neither plug connections nor connectors. Depending on the cable type and intended use, the cables are assembled with connectors or connected directly, for example to the network socket.

Patch cables and installation cables for building networking

Installation cables are used in buildings to ensure a permanent network installation. The cables by the metre, which we offer for both indoor and outdoor use, are characterised by their robustness and durability. Installation cables have rigid cores and connect a patch panel to a network socket, for example. Such cables enable permanent installation and a fixed network structure. They are connected directly to the patch panel and the network socket and are usually laid inside the wall.

Installation cables are available from INTOS in various performance classes, from Cat. 5e to Cat. 7a.

Patch cables by the metre, on the other hand, have flexible cores and are used on the opposite side of the network socket. Particularly in office environments, data centres or laboratories, it is a good idea to use patch cables for assembly for laying outside the wall or ceiling. These can be customised by the metre and fitted with the required connectors. You can obtain patch cables by the metre from Intos in different colours and variants.
